If you are provoked by that question, then scootch in a little closer. Is it strange to promote a workshop with the phrase “sexual power” in the title when the world is burning and re-making itself and I am personally and squarely in a deep grief phase having lost my sister-in-law to death less than two weeks ago?
No.
Not at all.
Though I did have to ask myself and this answer came rapidly like a seed on the wind: “Actually, it’s even more appropriate.”
Sexual power is life is creation is art is re-making is grief is embodiment. I continually meditated upon (in the wee hours of the morning from my bed) the vision of a world of humans each aligned in their own particular magic and holding hands to support one another, to lean, yes, but not to abandon their own spines. It’s a little Carebear, but child of the 80’s I am. Life-force is eros. They are one and the same.
I love co-creations and here’s what’s on tap. Prairie and I have been loosely imagining this retreat for a long time. We met as baby nervous systems in Somatic Experiencing school and now we are weaving our medicine together and we are pumped! You can read more about her below: in short, she’s a certified sexological bodyworker, somatic sex and relationship coach, and and incredibly grounded expansive human delight.

FULL OF YOURSELF
The Story and Somatics of Female Sexual Power
April 4-6 in Missoula, Montana
A woman who fully inhabits her own body, psyche and eros is an unstoppable and collaborative force. She is sure-footed, well protected and carries an open heart that cannot be corrupted. She weaves her creative force into everything around her and the world is better for it, especially a world that is crumbling to remake itself.
This weekend retreat, led by Prairie Wolfe and Molly Caro May, will bring together the medicine of story + somatics to explore the power of full self-inhabitance, a place where you can be protected without armor or walls, where there is no longer space for other’s stories to populate your living vessel and where knowing how to quench yourself is on tap. You can expect to enter into a sacred and playful circle of movement, myth exploration, dyads, group shares, relationality and an intention to negotiate in real time what is showing up in your nervous system and in the story of who you think you are.
You will walk away with a new sense of aliveness, feeling in your capacity to be both more soft, fluid and open as well as held in the strength and integrity of your body. Not hollow but FULL of your truest self. It’s time. For all of us.
Again, there are 7 spots left.
It has filled quickly.
Early bird end March 15th at midnight MT.
Brief note on Full of Yourself: This is a phrase Prairie re-imagined in her own process and work and I LOVE LOVE it. I remember having conversations with my friends in middle school about how we were going to be sure not to let anything good about ourselves “go to our head.” Wow. We weren’t a demure group but the conditioning lived within us: to celebrate yourself to any degree was a show of being conceited or ‘full of yourself’ and that wasn’t a good thing. We had over coupled confidence with meanness or aloofness or coldness. All I can say is Wow.
Let’s create more rooms (and forests) full of women who are fully radiating their own power and not threatened by each other because of it. Instead, they are made more alive by all that eros being channeled and expressed for the greater good.
Here’s to eros, spending boycotts, and co-creating our world together,
