You might get activated by this topic. It is my heartwood. It has lured me for decades, leaving its scent for me to follow, obsessing me especially when it was unpopular and moot to most and my soapbox monologues or concern about it elicited generous eye rolls, even from friends. However, Attention has now arrived—it has collapsed on the 2025 mainstream scene like a bedraggled traveler, forgotten and noticed in the nick of time. People are paying attention to attention because we have hit rock bottom. We are scraping the bowl looking for our long lost attention because we are losing our souls without her. Where have you gone? Oh there you are, down there tattered and barely alive. Oh no, panic, how do I resuscitate you, feed you, bring the shine back into your cheeks?
Hmm, in writing this, I’m noticing myself staring to censor and fawn. Surprising for me.
I don’t want to offend.
People get uncomfortable looking at their attention. Defended. They feel like they’ve done something wrong. This problem is not the fault of the individual. We know it’s systemic and yet, turn toward it we must. It is our responsibility. Do you feel like you can’t hold on to all the things, that your task-switching drains you, that you just can’t even address it, that you don’t know where to start, it’s too impossible? Well, no one is coming to save you or your precious brain and art and animal body. BUT, alongside each other is the way forward. I feel like a grandmother elephant boldly stomping through the landscape sounding my trunk.
I care too much.
We have to move beyond theory.
The podcasts and ideas and quips about The Attention Crisis are a decent start. Yes, we have identified it and we have named the bad cops. I’m so glad to see it on front stage. But none of that is leading to a solution in the actual human bodies—all of us—who are experiencing this reality on the ground.
We can know something needs to change, but how do we do it?
The how matters deeply.
We don’t shift by “deciding” anything or by using willpower or following three logical steps to detangle from our phones. It requires a deeper nervous system attuning. It requires embodiment within a fast world where the systems are either tugging at us left and right or intentionally leaving us dry.
We can shepherd ourselves back to attention.
Together. It’s relational healing because the wound is relational.
No, I’m not advocating for the olden days. Tech is here to stay.
We have been given the immense task and privilege and mission to stay in our bodies while living in a world changing faster than ever before

Transparency is my way. As always, this FREE class is a taste of my upcoming 6-week workshop on Attention. I am on fire about it. It’s been a long time coming, planned loosely years ago and it has been taking form the last year. I planned to run it earlier this year and then…. my attention needed to be with my extended family. I listen internally. I trust. I trust in right timing. Here we are.
I hope to see you there. Bring a friend. This play/work works deeply when it’s done alongside others, especially people you “do” life with already.
SOON and with gratitude for your attention…
I dream of a world of people in deep alignment with their source, their attention, their focus, their life-force,
